Microsoft now offers a possibility to create screen recording with Microsoft PowerPoint 2016. The recorded Screen can be saved as MP4 File, so that you can create a video for your users.
Typical functions:
- Record a selected area from your screen
- Trim your video
- Save your video as MP4
- Use default PowerPoint Styles
- Use a pointer and/ or audio
So there a not so many functions in comparison to Camtasia or Adobe Captivate. But for easy training videos it should help or if you would like to show someone an error in an application and how he can reproduce it.
Details about the functions and how to use this option in PowerPoint is well documented in this article.
